There is a abundance of positive thinking advice out there today, and while it definitely has a place in achieving goals in life, health, and business, it can also be a detriment to our healing and evolution process. It has been said that in everything we strive to achieve is 90% mindset. And, in psychology we are taught with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that thoughts create feelings. And this is true! The thought does come before the emotion. But, we also need to honor and make space for the feelings, without feeling like we need to slap on a positive affirmation, or force a positive mindset over top of painful emotions that need to be felt.
